FIDENZA VILLAGE AND CONVIVIO FOR ANLAIDS

From 6 to 10 June, at The Mall Big Spaces in Piazza Lina Bo Bardi in Milan

FIDENZA VILLAGE AND CONVIVIO JOIN FORCES FOR ANLAIDS

Fidenza Village is proud to be back alongside Convivio, Italy’s largest charitable exhibition and market, with the aim of raising funds for ANLAIDS, the national association for the fight against AIDS. Convivio is a journey of solidarity that was born in 1992 from an idea by Gianni Versace, together with Gianfranco Ferré, Giorgio Armani and Valentino, and has always been supported by Vogue Italia through editors-in-chief Franca Sozzani and now Emanuele Farneti.

From 6 to 10 June, at the Big Spaces mall in Piazza Lina Bo Bardi in Milan, the fourteenth edition of Convivio will involve many new features. Held every two years, Convivio receives support from a wide range of the most prestigious brands, including donations of products and services. During the event these donations will be sold with reductions of 50%.

For the occasion, Fidenza Village will make available a selection of bulldog sculptures to purchase, including one decorated by internationally renowned Chinese illustrator Jun Cen and others decorated by students from the Aldo Galli Academy of Fine Arts – IED Como for Chinese New Year 2018.

The event is being held in this venue for the first time, to be closer to the heart of the city and the lively Porta Nuova district. The installation project is by Massimiliano Locatelli CLS, the architects chosen for the creation of the first Creative Spot boutique at Fidenza Village, set up in collaboration with Vogue Italia and the National Chamber for Italian Fashion (CNMI) in 2016. The project envisages the creation of a special space, Convivio & more, which is designed to make shopping moments coexist with an area dedicated to hosting a schedule of meetings on the issues of prevention and well-being, with healthcare experts.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, Fidenza Village was the stage for an open-air exhibition featuring 50 red bulldog statues decorated by promising Chinese students from the Aldo Galli Academy of Fine Arts – IED Como, under the mentorship of Jun Cen. The academy aims to enhance the Made in Italy culture with a particular focus on innovation in fashion, the visual arts and the conservation of cultural heritage.
