Style Notes


Behno – Shivam Punjya, Creative Director of Behno, who is a finalist of the 2018 edition of the CNMI The Green Carpet Talent Competition, part of the Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia, founded Behno with the aim of focusing on the issues of poverty and global health. Among Behno's creations include garments that have been deconstructed and then recreated garments combined with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic silk and ECONYL® regenerated nylon, a yarn made from recycled fishing nets and old carpets.


Mateja Benedetti – Benedetti Life is an ethical and sustainable brand with a focus on luxury and innovation. From the first Milan showroom to the Ljubljana fashion show for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week the brand has grown in design and innovation, spreading its commitment to contributing to the well-being of our ecosystem through fashion. Matea Benedetti is one of the five finalists of the 2017 CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition.

Gilberto Calzolari – Born and raised in Milan, Gilberto Calzolari is the winner of the 2018 edition of the CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition. His style is represented by fresh, romantic and glamorous demi-couture dresses: elegant and timeless designs, where refined contemporary silhouettes and unexpected combinations – combined with workmanship of the highest sartorial level – express the image of a sophisticated yet ironic, dreamy woman.

CO|TE – Founded in 2010 by Tomaso Anfossi and Francesco Ferrari, CO | TE means refuge and protection. The collections, which feature refined, avant-garde designs, are entirely produced according to ‘Made in Italy’ traditions. They are inspired by ironic, curious, witty and elegant women. The brand’s geometric shapes are the distinctive feature of its garments and the choice of fabrics that are used is essential to maintain the desired volumes both during the design of the shapes and once they are ready. CO | TE is one of the five finalists of the first edition of the CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition.

Davide Grillo – Davide Grillo's first foray into fashion began at the Parma Institute of Fashion Crafts, he then continued his studies at Central Saint Martins. During his studies he worked for various artisans and tailor's workshops in Parma, where he learnt the importance of cutting and sewing at the ateliers. Davide Grillo's brand is based on the poetic union of craftsmanship and traditional processes. He is one of the five finalists of the second edition of CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition.



Tiziano Guardini – Tiziano Guardini is the winner of the 2017 edition of the CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition. His creations are a dialogue between Mother Earth and the relationship between man and nature, elements that are perfectly united in his designs. The New York Times, Vogue, Interview Magazine and Corriere della Sera have named him "nature's stylist". Tiziano Guardini's latest collection is titled ‘The City is a Jungle’ and is a refined and spontaneous mix, with lines that give a nod to the male universe while remaining strongly feminine.


Teatum Jones – Founded in 2011 by Catherine Teatum and Rob Jones, Teatum Jones is a London-based brand that is recognised for its modern, refined and bold aesthetics that speak to intelligent and confident women. The designers, who create fine fabrics with fresh and refined shapes, have received recognition as young ‘textile pioneers’ and ‘innovators’ of London. Teatum Jones is one of the five finalists of the second edition of CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition.

Leo Studio Design – Leo pays great attention to production processes, the choice of fabrics, materials, volumes and prints that constitute the strong identity of the brand. Leo Studio Design seeks to combine traditional Italian quality with craftsmanship and the latest technologies. The garments are made using ECONYL® regenerated yarn, a nylon that is sourced from waste materials such as fishing nets and old carpets and that can be regenerated countless times without degenerating. Leo Studio Design is one of the five finalists of the first edition of CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition.


Patrick McDowell – Patrick is a designer from Liverpool who focuses on the possibility of reinventing luxury with a sustainable mindset. The brand’s garments are made with recycled fabrics, organic yarns and ethically-produced materials and all of the collections are entirely designed and made in England. Patrick McDowell is a supporter of reducing the global impact of fashion through conscious design.



Keef Palas – Born in the summer of 2016, jewellery brand Keef Palas is an expression of nature mixed with fashion and art. The brand’s ephemeral jewellery is only designed to last for a certain period of time, in perfect harmony with the laws of nature. The brand explores the ephemeral through details such as peppers, garlic, nuts and olives, using them as the unique centrepieces to its pieces. Living between Mallorca and Barcelona, the selection of materials used is comparable to a sort of Mediterranean diet: in fact, they use only what they find at hand, without importation or contamination.

Søster Studio – Søster Studio is a sustainable luxury brand that was founded in 2017 by Pernille Nadine and aims to celebrate slow fashion and inclusivity. The brand is committed to being socially and environmentally responsible and transparent.



Martina Spetlova – After studying chemistry in Prague, Martina Spetlova enrolled at Central Saint Martins to study fashion, graduating in 2010. Her thesis collection was selected for the prestigious Central Saint Martins fashion show, part of London Fashion Week, in February 2010. This is where her adventure began. The brand uses colour, lots of colour, and its name is associated with patchwork designs, in which Martina Spetlova skilfully combines bold tones with refined fabrics.


CORA - Cora Bellotto is an Italian designer whose style is the expression of a new and personal look at sustainable fashion. A mix of luxury and sustainability that rediscovers the values of a different fashion, impeccable in details and in the choice of high quality materials. Always fresh and elegant, the brand transmits the instinctive love of its stylist for natural fibers and contrasts given by the combination of textures and different hands. Always in search of new creative methodologies, the brand often explores in its proposed “zero-waste” forms and models, to minimize textile waste.
